Teresa da Silva Lopes is a Professor of International Business and Business History at the Management School, and Director of the Centre for the Evolution of Global Business and Institutions, both at the University of York (United Kingdom). Apart from council member (webmaster) of the ABH, she is also currently a member of the newcomen prize committee of the journal Enterprise & Society and a member of the Investments Committee of the Business History Conference.

Teresa has published widely on business history topics in journals, such as Business History Review/ and /Enterprise & Society/. Her most recent books are /Global Brands/ (CUP, 2007) and /Brands, Trade Marks and Competitiveness/ (with Duguid ed.) (Routledge, 2010).

She is currently a member of the Centre for Globalisation Research, at Queen Mary, University of London, a fellow of the Network on Dynamics of Institutions and Markets in Europe (DIME), a visiting research fellow at Universidade Catòlica Portuguesa, and a research associate of the Centre for International Business History and Centre for Institutional Performance at the University of Reading.
