Terry Gourvish is Director of the Business History Unit, London School of Economics & Political Science, and Chairman of the Business Archives Council. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and the Academy of Social Sciences. His current research interests include the management of mega-projects, the business history of the popular music industry from 1950, and the development of intermodal freight services in Britain since 1945. His latest book is Britain’s Railways 1997-2005: Labour’s Strategic Experiment (Oxford UP, 2008). For further details of Terry’s research see:
