Niall G MacKenzie is Head of Research at the Institute for Innovation Studies at the University of Wales. He previously worked at the University of Glasgow, where he also competed each of his degrees, and was a Research Fellow in Enterprise and Innovation at the Centre for Business Research at the University of Cambridge prior to taking up his current post. His research interests include innovation and technological change, peripheral and regional industrial development, business-government relations and international business. He is an associate of the Centre for Business History at the University of Glasgow, the Centre for Business Research at the University of Cambridge and the Institute for Rural Research at the University of Aberdeen. His current work is funded by the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) and he has previously held grants from the Economic & Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Alfred D Chandler Travelling Fellowship from Harvard Business School. He enjoys the Great Indoors, preferably with a cup of tea to hand.
